The Hazelwood community exists for connection, continuity, and shared space.
Not everyone here is studying.
Not everyone wants classes.
Some people just want to stay connected to the work and the people around it.
That’s what the community is for.
What the community is
The Hazelwood community is a shared space for members.
It’s where people:
- talk
- reflect
- share experiences
- stay connected over time
Some people are active students.
Some are alumni.
Some are here quietly, without attending classes.
All of that is normal.
Who the community is for
Community access is right for you if:
- you want to be part of Hazelwood without studying right now
- you’ve studied before and want to stay connected
- you’re curious but not ready for classes
- you like being part of a shared space without pressure
You don’t need to prove anything to be here.
What happens here
The community isn’t a classroom.
There’s no curriculum.
No deadlines.
No requirement to participate.
What you’ll find instead:
- ongoing conversation
- shared resources and updates
- space to reflect and ask questions
- connection with people at different stages
You can be active or quiet. Both are fine.
Boundaries
The community isn’t a replacement for classes.
Teaching happens through enrolment and live study.
The community supports learning but doesn’t substitute it.
This keeps expectations clear and protects both the space and the people in it.
Movement over time
People move through Hazelwood in different ways.
Some join the community first and study later.
Some study, then step back into the community.
Some leave for a while and come back.
There’s no fixed path and no pressure to progress.
Being here
Hazelwood is built on respect, care, and shared responsibility.
The community works because people:
- listen
- stay within their limits
- and treat each other with consideration
If you want to be part of Hazelwood without committing to classes, this is the place to start.
